About
Joanna Quinton Bateman
The need to understand the way things work, from owning sheep for her knitting projects, gathering plants for wild yeasts for her baking, and growing up in Oxford among world-class academics, Joanna has always brought curiosity to her design process. She brought her skills to Conde Nast, Random House and Crown Publishing Group among others, before beginning her private firm as an independent designer.
Specialties
While the bulk of her work has been designing for small businesses, non-profits and individuals, her driving passion has always been for designing books, transforming writers’ dreams into a tangible, beautiful reality.
The skilled process of giving shape and form to an imagined product has been her practice with all her creative endeavors.
"Design informs every facet of my life: I’ve renovated and designed several houses with my husband, architect Bill Bateman; I paint tiny portraits of birds; if I’m sitting on the couch watching TV you will seldom find me without a knitting or needlepoint project in my hands."
Joanna looks forward to sharing her skills with you and bringing your vision to life.
